The APC governorship candidate in Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia stormed Gbajimba, the headquarters of Guma local government in continuation of the party’s tour of 23 local government areas in the state.

The people of Guma local government area thronged the hometown of the incumbent governor in their numbers to show solidarity with the APC Candidate.

Fr. Alia who is the Governorship Candidate of the opposition APC in the state received heroic welcome against all odds as youth groups, women, the displaced and even the aged sang songs of solidarity showcasing their love for the priest of God whom many described as the hope of a common man and a bridge of salvation for Benue people.

While addressing the people, Fr. Alia appreciated them for the warm welcome accorded him and promised to take the people out of the dungeon of hardships and misery.

He said he was very conversant with what goes on in the area and understood the predicaments of the people, promising to end insecurity, entrench peace in Benue State and reunite all those who have been displaced with their ancestral homes.

The priest of God also assured the people that his administration will create jobs and give juicy employment to the large number of Benue youth who are hitherto jobless and are so prone to indulging in acts capable of truncating peace in the society.

He also gave the people hope that his administration will empower women with a view to making them financially independent.

The people through former Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Stephen Tsav, Hon. Mike Iordye, former head of Service, Hon. Andy Uwuoku, Former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Ashide Kashin, APC woman Leader, Guma, Former SUBEB Chairman and Zone B coordinator, Ali/Ode Campaign, Rev. Dr. Philip Tachin highlighted their challenges to include, insecurity, lack of motorable roads, water scarcity, and unemployment amongst others, and appealed to their people to vote for all APC candidates beginning from Bola Ahmed Tinubu down to state assembly.

Others who spoke at the event include, Hon. Denis Umbur, Hon. Dr. Yanmar Ortese, the Agasha and Guma state assembly Candidates respectively, the APC House of Representatives Candidate for Makurdi/Guma, Hon. Dickson Tarkighir, and the Zone B Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Dr. Titus Tartenger Zam amongst others.

The team also visited Makurdi Local Government and assured the people that help is just by the corner.
