The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has promised to keep to his salary obligations and ensure prompt payment of salaries and pensions when he becomes the Governor of Benue State.

Fr Alia made this promise Saturday, February 18, 2023 when he led the APC campaign team to Gboko local government area.

He said large and growing youth unemployment threatens sustainable development and social stability, and women continue to experience barriers in almost every aspect of economic life, hence his plan to create jobs and initiate policies that would empower Benue youth and enable women to be financially independent.

Responding to the issue of water scarcity, Fr. Alia promised to liaise with the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of water resources to restore water supply in Gboko and it’s environs.

He said, however that, for him to render the most effective service, the people should vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president, and all other APC candidates even as he advised the people not to yield to any pranks featuring ethnicity and religion.

Fr. Alia further cautioned his supporters against writing or making negative utterances against those who took to court to seek clarification on certain issues, adding that they are still members of our great party the APC.

The people, through Engr. Begha Nyamkume, Hon.Mrs Becky Orpin, Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, Hon. Abua Yaji and Hon. James Tor among others said lack of sufficient available water resources to meet the demands of water usage in the area is the major challenge that is begging for urgent government attention.

Fr. Alia also visited Buruku and Tarka local government areas where large number of people decamped from PDP to APC.
