I on behalf of myself and the Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), do sincerely appreciate Benue people for their overwhelming support to our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 25th February, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

Your rejection of a deceitful government of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that has disconnected Benue State from the Centre and thus depriving our people of benefiting from the gains of our collective national resources is a sign that Benue people have realized who the real enemies of the state are.

I wish to on behalf of our people thank the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for their neutrality during the election. I also wish to appreciate the security agencies led by the Commissioner of Police for their efforts in maintaining law and order during the process. The civil society organizations, local and foreign observers are also highly appreciated for their collaborative roles in ensuring that democracy triumphant over dictatorship.

As I congratulate the APC family and Benue People over this victory for our land, I wish to remind you that, our other date with destiny and of completing the reclaim agenda for our state despite all forms of intimidation is on the 11th March, 2023 during the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

Our gubernatorial candidate, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and his deputy, Hon. Sam Ode and our candidates for the state house of Assembly are our collective choice for a more peaceful and prosperous Benue. I therefore call on you to troop out en mass to reaffirm your total commitment to reclaiming and rebuilding a Benue that will guarantee a future for our children.
