The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Benue State Chapter, has been drawn to the fallacious and malicious publication on the wall of one Asawa Joseph who was beaten black and blue in Gboko at the inauguration of Governor Samuel Ortom’s Senatorial Campaign by the Ortom faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the flag off of the 2023 general elections campaign.
The purported Fulani Nationality Movement (FUNAM) press release is a fabrication of the Benue PDP delivered to the public by one who is still recovering from the mental injuries suffered during the merciless beating by the Ortom militia at Gboko.
Coming from a person that is psychologically inbalance and sponsored by the dying PDP, this propaganda has fallen flat as Benue people have already made up their mind on dethroning a failed government and all its agents of deceit.
Benue people should note that FUNAM is a creation of Governor Ortom to support the activities of his Livestock Guards who are engaged in harrasing and stealing of cattle and displacement of people from their ancestral land. An act the APC consider as evil and reject in all ramifications.
The Benue state chapter of APC wishes to assure Benue people that the security of life and property is Central to the agenda of the APC and the Governship candidate and house of assembly candidates of the party are prepared and determined to achieve these within the provisions of the law.
The APC calls on everyone in Benue not to be deterred by the lies been spread by the failed and wicked PDP who has cuased hardship and death of so many citizens by their total refusal to pay salaries, gratuities and pensions.
We want to use this opportunity to continue to thank the Benue people for voting-in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President and all APC Candidates into the Senate and House of Representatives and encourage you to come out en mass to vote Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and all our house of Assembly members to secure a better future for our state.
