Moved by the excitement to throng his route to welcome him into their local governments, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, for the 2023 General Elections, in Benue State, told the people that, he has come to mount himself as a bridge for them to cross over for their comfort, and get the required dividends of democracy, through rural roads construction, and also create an Agricultural Master Plan for Benue State, which he said will accommodate them, as well as engage the services of agricultural and economic experts to maximize the benefits emanating from the Federal Government’s numerous agricultural schemes, like Contract Farming and the Anchor Borrowers’ Scheme to

Key into all federal government economic initiatives to facilitate the growth of agro-processing factories in the state.

He spoke today February 16, 2023 in Ohimini, and Otukpo local government areas of the State.

Fr. Alia also revealed to them that, it is paramount for him to encourage them and Benue people as a whole, to participate in Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and faith-based organizations in agricultural extension activities in the state, to help empower their farming strengths for the formation of vibrant agricultural cooperative societies in the state, to help support agricultural marketing, loans, and linkage with the off-takers and improved economy of their farming strengths.

The APC Governorship Candidate, further stated that few weeks from now, the Nation’s electoral empire body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), shall present all the valid candidates, across the country, including himself, for the position of Governor, beginning with the party’s Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Senatorial Candidates of Zones A, B, and C, and House of Representatives Candidates ( on February 25, 2023), while the Governorship, and State House of Assembly Elections, would hold on March 11, 2023, respectively.

The Catholic Priest, also informed them to dispel rumours making the rounds that he is no longer on the ballot, out of INEC’s portal, even as the Supreme Court of Nigeria, has dismissed the last case against him by aggrieved co candidature, saying that it is an attestation for them to fulfil their mandate by electing him as the next Governor of the State.

In their separate remarks, the State Chairman of the party, Comrade Austine Agada, the Senatorial Candidate of Zone C, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, former Chief of Staff to the former Senate President, (David Mark), Chief Dr., called on the people to support the Catholic Priest, actualize his vision for the State, and all APC candidates in the local government.

With the two local governments (Ohimini, and Otukpo local governments), receiving the Governorship Candidate for Campaign tours, Fr. Alia would step into Zone B tomorrow February 17, 2023, for Gwer-West, and Gwer-East local governments, respectively.
