Benue APC Begin Gubernatorial Campaign Tour In Zone C, Visit Obi And Oju - Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia

The All Progressives Congress, APC Benue State chapter, yesterday 13/2/2023 Began campaign tour of the State with the Benue South Senatorial District, Zone C. Governorship Candidate of the party, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia led his deputy, Hon. Sam Ode, APC State Chairman Comr Austin Agada, Director General Alia/Ode Campaign Council, Rev. Pastor Fredrick Ikyaan to interact with the Igede community in Oju and Obi LGAs respectively.

The campaign Council also paid homage on the Obi and Oju area traditional Councils and received traditional blessings.

Disclosing the mission of the visit, governorship candidate of the APC, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia informed the two traditional councils that the campaign Council paid a visit on them to seek their blessings on the mission to salvage Benue State from the shackles of poverty and general underdevelopment caused by the present Government of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Fr. Alia and his team promised to rescue the people of Igede from the deplorable state of the roads in their communities, provide adequate and quality water and the general enhancement of economic, social and general well-being of their lives adding that the roads the PDP led government has been using to solicit for the votes of the Igede community was in deplorable describing the act as lacking in sensitivity to the plight of the people.

Fr. Alia further solicited the support of the Igede traditional Council for the victory of the APC at the general elections to give the party the power to address the hardship caused by the failure of PDP leadership in the state.

The campaign Council also interacted with the Igede APC Supporters at Pilot School, Obarike-Ito in Obi and Bethel Theological Seminary Igede in Oju respectively as well as the National Union of Teacher (NUT), Trade Union Congress (TUC), National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), National Union of pensioners (NUP) etc in the two local governments areas.

The APC State Chairman, Comr. Austin Agada, Hon. Nick Eworo, Prof. John Enyi, Barr. Mrs Patricia Kupchi, Hon. Augustine Ekwoche, Prof. Moses Ogbaji amongst other speakers reiterated the commitment of APC to turn around the fortune of the Igede community when elected into power.

The people of Igede Nation who came out en mass to receive the message of hope brought by Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia and his team enthusiastically expressed their confidence in the capacity of the Rev. Gentleman to turn things around for the good of all Benue citizens and promised to make use of their PVCs on the day of election to make sure Fr. Alia and all candidates of the APC emerge victorious at the polls from top to bottom.
