The small town of Vandeikya erupted in jubilation last night as the Governor-elect, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, presented his Certificate of Return to Tor Jechira, His Royal Highness, Chief Clement Uganden, and the entire Jechira Traditional Council.
The presentation of the certificate signifies the official authentication of Fr. Alia’s victory by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the recently concluded gubernatorial election in Benue State.
The atmosphere in Vandeikya was electrifying as supporters of the governor-elect took to the streets in celebration, waving banners and chanting slogans of “Yes Father” and “Alialization.”
