The All Progressives Congress, APC, Benue State Chapter views with dismay, the antics of the defeated People’s Democratic Party (PDP), where they have hired groups of mischievous propagandists to spread fake news for the purpose of misleading the good people of Benue.
One of such groups is the Political Justice and Fair Play, which is led by one Musa Garba and Nura Amani. In their recent media outings, they claim that the Candidate of our party, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia’s name is not on the portal of INEC and as such he is not a candidate in the 2023 Governorship elections in Benue State.
Ordinarily, we wouldn’t have responded to this kick of a dying horse but we wish to put the record straight for unsuspecting members of the public who might be misinformed by the hired guns tissues of lies.
The Benue State APC want to make it clear that the name of our gubernatorial candidate, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia was never removed and can never be removed from the INEC portal without an order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
Let it be known that the Court of Appeal which ordered for a rerun in 11 of the 23 local government areas in Benue State never ordered INEC to remove the name of Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia from their portal. The Supreme Court judgment that validated the candidacy of Rev. Fr. Dr. Alia marked the end of all legal issues concerning APC governorship tickets in Benue State.
We understand the reasons for such mischief, tantrums and propaganda from the PDP and their collaborators. The smokescreen to cover their fear of Rev. Fr. Alia’s acceptability, Charisma and love by the Benue people is responsible for this mischievous act.
Finally, we want to urge the People of Benue State to discountenance the fake propaganda and mischief from the so-called Political Justice and Fair Play and their likes who are PDP’s puppet and tools used to misinform the Benue people.
The Benue APC governorship Candidate Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia is poised to provide better alternative to the Benue people by providing leadership that will bring development, peace and prosperity for all Benue people and no lie no matter how well cooked can change this reality.
